Born and raised in Orillia I not only know the area but, truly love this region. I believe we all have a part in making our community a better place to live and I have enjoyed assisting many individuals, groups, and organizations. In 2012 I was surprised to be one of several residents in Orillia to be a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal recognizing the efforts of individuals in Canada who serve their community. I originally tucked this away with a bit of embarrassment knowing how hard many others serve this community but, I mention it here as I am dedicated to my buyers and sellers in the same way I am dedicated to community service. I retired from radio broadcasting and media management after great a 45 years. During those years it provided me with the opportunity to not only meet thousands of people in this area but also to have assisted countless groups and organizations along the way. In 2000 was awarded the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Golden Ribbon Award for Outstanding Community Service for an Individual Broadcaster in Canada. I have served as a board member for The Lighthouse - serving Orillia's homeless and most vulnerable at 75 Queen Street in Orillia and was PR Chair for the Building Hope Campaign in Orillia. I am a volunteer with New Life Prison Ministries in Canada and on most Sunday mornings you will find me as part of the volunteer team at Connexus Community Church where each Sunday we create an amazing environment for family worship at the Galaxy Movie Theatre. In my spare time, I love to sing and play the guitar. (Perhaps I should say, try to play and sing) I would love the opportunity to get to know you.
