Marina Kooman

About Me

Marina Kooman is a proud lifelong resident of Red Deer, Alberta. Growing up in Sunnybrook, she spent her childhood exploring the Waskasoo Creek woods, biking across the city, & developing a deep appreciation for her community. After living in various neighborhoods, she eagerly moved back to the close she grew up in. For eight years, she & her husband, Mike, enjoyed the quiet surroundings & beautiful trails.

However, as a true real estate professional, Marina couldn’t ignore her husband's pleas to check out a home that allowed Mike to step right onto the course from their backyard. While she still cherishes Sunnybrook, she now enjoys scenic river trails with their two dogs, Esther and Eddie.

Marina’s real estate experience spans decades. In 1989, she co-founded Your House Your Home magazine with her siblings, helping buyers discover available properties and connecting with REALTORS® across Central Alberta for 28 years. Through this, she built strong industry relationships and gained an in-depth understanding of the market.

Marina is a people-oriented person. She often knows a life-story within minutes of meeting someone as they quickly realize her caring, compassionate nature and open up their hearts to her. She enjoys volunteering wherever needed, whether it is at their church or helping with athletic events in the city.

Having owned and renovated multiple homes, Marina has a keen eye for potential and transformation. She loves helping clients see the possibilities in a home. Her warm, trustworthy nature allows her to build meaningful connections, making the real estate process seamless & enjoyable.
