Chris Santos

Born in a little town called Hondo in Texas, Chris attended private parochial Catholic Elementary School for the first eight school years before graduating from Hondo High School in 1969. Thereafter, she lived in San Antonio, Austin and Long Beach California before traveling to Mexico. From there, her travels brought her to Vancouver Canada in 1972 where she fell in love with the beautiful snow capped mountain backdrop.
Not finished yet with traveling, she then went east to Montreal where she met a young man and settled down. In Montreal, she home-birthed two sons, took French immersion classes, and after a six year relationship, she and her partner separated. She then moved back to Beautiful British Columbia where she raised her sons as a single mom. The boys currently live in Vancouver.
Chris has a diverse work history. She studied and taught a Women's Self Defense course (Wen-Do) as well as starting a sign painting business in the Langley and Abbotsford areas.
Using her sales talent to drum up work, she also did seasonal window dressings during the busy Christmas Holidays, which proved to be very good income as the years passed, and her clientele grew. As for the sign painting, efficient methods for producing signs were being implemented, so she quit the dying art of hand sign lettering and looked for other opportunities.
By now, the boys were in their primary grades and she wanted to raise them in a quieter environment, so they moved to Victoria on Vancouver Island. There, she attended Camosun College for a Business Administration course which propelled her into a new entrepreneurial venture - manufacturing a family salsa recipe which she aptly named "Santos Salsa."
This thriving business expanded into the Greater Vancouver market until the company was sold in 1991. At this time, Chris started her next business - her Real Estate career. She worked as an Independent Realtor in the Greater Vancouver area for 13 years before moving to the Okanagan in 2004 where she enjoys a quieter lifestyle today. Once there, she volunteered at the Shubert Centre while working as a full time Realtor with a Top Award Winning Remax Team. After eleven and a half years, she decided to once again work as an Independent Realtor at Remax Vernon serving the North Okanagan area where she has successfully earned the 100% Club Award in sales. Knowing the importance of giving back to the community, a portion of every sale she makes is given to the local Hospice Society, a donation she has made for over 10 years.

I service the Vernon, Oyama, Winfield, Coldstream and Lavington areas and specialize in Relocation, Luxury Homes, Residential Acreages, Lake Property, Condominiums and Buyer Brokerage.
