Born and raised on the North Shore where I have lived and worked for over 50 years. Now residing in West Vancouver with wife Jen and 4 children. A graduate of UBC in 1996 with a BA in Political science, an active alumni member in Sigma Chi Fraternity. I opened my first business at 23. I went on to own and manage 12 restaurants, bars, clubs and liquor stores for almost 20 years. Employing thousands of employees and hosting millions of clients. In less than 10 years Derek was awarded the RE/MAX Lifetime achievement award, including Diamond, Titan, Chairman’s, and Platinum Club levels.
