I was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, and began my professional career as a teacher of Electrical Engineering. My wife and I later moved to Shanghai, China, where I spent ten years working on behalf of the German government as an advisor to the Chinese government. During this time, I also supported German companies in establishing and growing their business operations in China. In 2005, my wife and I fulfilled a long-held dream and immigrated to Canada. Before settling in Smithers, we lived on Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island. We often explored the Yukon Territory and Northern BC with our truck and camper, drawn by our love for the outdoors. Hiking and skiing are among our favorite activities, and we’ve found Smithers to be the perfect place to call home.
