Dear future neighbour,

It’s my honour and privilege to welcome you to our fabulous Okanagan paradise of Kelowna. I’ve been traveling here with friends and family since 2004, and made the decision to become a permanent resident in 2011.

When people ask me if I have any regrets about living in Kelowna, I always answer, “yes: that I didn’t come sooner!”

Aside from being a realtor, I’m a volunteer with a variety of organizations, including the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, the Kelowna Waldorf School and our city’s Local Issues Committee. I’m an active socializer and am privileged to participate and help organize many events here in the city. As a father of two young girls, I can tell you that Kelowna is a safe and delightful place to raise a family.

I arrived here in 2011 not knowing a soul besides my daughter. People told me that it can be a challenge to make new friends in Kelowna, because there are a lot of lifetime residents and established social circles. I thought, that may be true, but surely there are at least a few hundred people just like me, arriving from other cities, not knowing anyone, but so excited to be here. All I have to do is find those people, connect with them, and we’ll be golden!

So I formed a group called the Kelowna Social Club. By the time I turned it over to another organizer in late 2013, we had almost 500 members. Sure enough, most of the early sign ups were brand new to Kelowna, hailing from many places including Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto and beyond. We made fast friends and helped each other branch out and form valuable work and social connections.

I was first licensed as a realtor in the early 1990s in Toronto. Since then I’ve worked as a realtor, property manager and mortgage broker, with overlapping time frames, in Ontario, Florida and the Cayman Islands, and most recently since late 2012 here in Kelowna. While I was studying for my British Columbia license here, I was working as a delivery driver. As a result, I got to know the streets and neighbourhoods like the back of my hand, better than many lifetime Kelowna residents.

Those are just some of the reasons why I am a bonafide relocation expert for Kelowna. I pride myself on making fast and lasting friendships with my clients. I’m excited to get to know you and your lifestyle and help you to find the perfect home. Real estate is also a huge monetary investment!
