Norgate has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Even though this part of the municipality is not known for its lively ambience, with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located close by. Norgate is very quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. There are around 20 green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, including Klahanie Park, and they are especially well-situated, resulting in them being very easy to get to from the majority of locations in this part of District of North Vancouver.
