About Svein

I was born in Norway and came to Canada (Victoria) at a young age. I obtained a B.Comm from the University of Saskatchewan and commenced a successful 35-year career in various areas of the provincial government. Having finished my career as Director, Properties and Land Management Branch, Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, I chose to work on a second career as a real estate agent. While working with for the provincial government I completed my accounting designation in 1989. I was involved with billions of dollars in construction projects from planning to design and construction. Including projects like Phase 3 of the Coquihalla, Vancouver Island Highway Project, Port Mann Bridge and others. This resulted in my being recognized as a leader in project management practices with the ministry, the provincial government and the Sauder School of Business. The Sauder School of Business invited me to participate on a committee to oversee their implementation of online “Master of Project Management” and “Portfolio Management” programs. On my retirement from the Provincial Government, I was recognized by Tourism Victoria with the 2015 Miracle award for the leadership provided to the Belleville Terminal Project/Strategy. I have varied interests, including being a motorcycle enthusiast, woodworking (construction of my own home and out buildings), wood carving, and vehicle restoration (member of the Early Ford V8 Club). I enjoy music, attending art shows, and exploring the local wineries. My vacations have taken me many times to Europe and the USA. I had the privilege of managing the delivery of the Canada - BC Log House to Torino, Italy for the 2006 Olympics. I have lived in the Victoria area for over 55 years, apart from several years away attending the University of Saskatchewan. I love all that this location has to offer in terms of community, lifestyle, outdoor activities, scenery, and food and wine sources. It's really the "California of Canada" without the crowds. I bring my financial, project management, strategic thinking and construction knowledge to assist clients with their real estate choices. I pride myself with providing my clients with expert and trustworthy real estate services. Allow me to help you find your home in our Little Piece of Paradise.
