Shawn Jacula

Shawn Jacula is a Vermilionite through and through. Raised on his parents’ grain farm just outside of town, he developed a strong work ethic and deep roots in agriculture from an early age. After graduating from J.R. Robson High School in 2003, Shawn attended Arizona State University, where he discovered a passion for aviation. This led him to earn his multi-engine commercial pilot’s licence and pursue opportunities beyond Canada. When regulatory changes limited opportunities for foreign pilots in the United States, Shawn saw the moment as a chance to pivot. He returned to Alberta in 2005, earning his real estate licence along with an Appraisal and Assessment Diploma from Lakeland College. He began his career with Mac’s Realty before joining the RE/MAX office in Lloydminster two years later. In 2010, Shawn opened RE/MAX Prairie Realty in Vermilion, becoming one of the youngest sole proprietors in the RE/MAX system worldwide. His entrepreneurial drive continued in 2021 with the launch of RPRauction.ca, a trusted online platform providing a modern, transparent option for agricultural land and rural property sales. Shawn’s work has been widely recognized. In 2012, he was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and has received both the Spirit of Vermilion Award and the Spirit of West Award (Western Canada) for outstanding community citizenship. He has also been named Employer of the Year by the Vermilion and District Chamber of Commerce. Shawn lives on the farm with his wife, Bethany, and their three young children, where he remains active in grain and oilseed production. Above all, he is most proud of operating a RE/MAX Miracle Office, donating a portion of every commission to the Children’s Miracle Network in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.
