Mike Doughty, a fifth-generation Vancouver Islander, has been immersed in the island life since day one. Growing up in Port Alberni and Ucluelet, his roots run deep on the West Coast. Transitioning to Victoria was a natural move, drawn by its abundant amenities—parks, beaches, pubs, culinary scene, and community events. As his two daughters spread their wings, Mike gravitated towards the South Island to enjoy outdoor adventures like mountain biking, skiing (both snow and water), rugby and football.

On his days off, you'll find Mike soaking up the sun at Shawnigan Lake during summer or hiking the island's picturesque trails with his wife and Havanese dog when the weather cools.
