For Annemarie, Georgian Bay and Muskoka have always been more than a workplace—it’s home. Since 1983, she has lived, worked, and raised her family in the Honey Harbour area, building strong community connections and a lifelong love for cottage country. Annemarie began her real estate career in 1990, and in 2000 she and her husband Armin—her partner in life and business—opened their RE/MAX office in Honey Harbour. Together, utilizing their extensive real estate experience, Annemarie and Armin have spent over 36 years helping families find their own place on the water. Annemarie’s legal knowledge and negotiating skills complement Armin’s background in construction and his natural ability to connect with people. Their connection to cottage life began long before real estate. As children, they spent weekends in cottage country fishing, swimming, waterskiing, hiking, and exploring the shoreline. Those early experiences shaped their love for the lifestyle they still enjoy today. To them, a cottage is more than a property—it’s a place where generations gather and lifelong memories are made. Their expertise extends beyond buying and selling. With more than 50 years of family history in marine construction, they bring valuable insight into waterfront properties, shorelines, docks, and the unique considerations of owning a cottage in Muskoka and Georgian Bay. Outside of work, Annemarie enjoys spending time with her family and four grandchildren, along with cooking, gardening, boating, and staying active. Annemarie and Armin proudly support local charities and initiatives including the Pink Dinghy Poker Run for breast cancer, the Honey Bee Festival, Georgian Bay Biosphere, Life 4 Kids Africa, and the Children’s Miracle Network supporting SickKids Hospital. They are passionate about protecting the waterways and natural habitats that make Honey Harbour and Georgian Bay such a special place to call home.
