Karen Monteiro is a veteran mortgage and real estate professional with more than 29 years dedicated to her clients and career. Karen holds a number of professional designations including: Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP), Real Estate Investment Advisor (REIA) and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR). She continues to be recognized as a top-performing real estate and mortgage professional. Karen has won the Cambridge Readers’ Choice Platinum Award for Best Real Estate Broker 2020 and Gold for 2024 , the Platinum and Diamond Award for Best Mortgage Broker and Brokerage from 2008-2023. She’s also part of Mortgage Alliance’s President’s Club (top 5% of brokers across Canada), when with Coldwell Banker received both the Coldwell Banker Ultimate Service Award and Premier Office Gold Award, and is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. She's also happy to give back to the community where she works and lives, including serving on the Board of Directors for a condo board , a Pet Rescue and the CAOR where she worked her way up to being the President in 2011/2012. Karen also runs a charitable organization she started called Handbags for Hope. Now in its 8th year, this organization does an annual drive at Christmas time and strives to make women who are less fortunate across Cambridge, Kitchener , Guelph and surrounding areas feel special by providing the comforts associated with everyday items – gently used purses filled with new toiletries. Karen is a proud mother to 3 children and 4 grandchildren , loves travel and continuing education.
