Vern McClelland is an Associate Broker for RE/MAX of Lloydminster and a partner with the McClelland Group. Fully licensed in Alberta and Saskatchewan, he carries a membership with both provinces’ real estate boards, personally representing over 4,000 properties to date from single family homes to multimillion-dollar commercial enterprises. Vern with son, and business partner, Grant specialize in agricultural and commercial properties, administering the highly successful Progressive Tender program. Together, they provide consulting and marketing services to clients across Alberta and Saskatchewan, consistently ranking as one of the Top Ten commercial teams in RE/MAX Western Canada. In 2014, Vern was honored to earn RE/MAX International’s Lifetime Achievement Award for distinguished service to the industry. He was elected to the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission in 2015 as one of two industry representatives outside of Saskatoon and Regina; and served as chairperson for three years until completing his second term in 2021. Vern has been a contributing editor to The Meridian Source since 2005, writing over 700 columns to date on real estate and community issues of interest to readers in Canada’s Midwest and the team’s international clientele. Prior to entering real estate in 2003, he acted as a management consultant to over 50 Canadian companies, non-profit organizations, First Nations, provincial and federal Crown agencies, assisting them with planning and strategic business development. Today, in partnership with his son Scott, and wife Kitty, he also plays an active role in the daily activities of a 1,200 head livestock operation outside of Maidstone, Saskatchewan on land that has been in his family since 1905.
