Arbour Lake is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are quite peaceful. Transportation

Arbour Lake is especially car friendly. Nearby highways are quite easy to reach from any home in Arbour Lake, and it is very convenient to find a place to park. However, commuting by public transit is sometimes challenging in this part of Calgary. Nevertheless, there is Crowfoot Station with access to the Red Line. There are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. Travelling on foot is not very practical for residents in Arbour Lake as carrying out daily needs is impractical. Although there are a limited number of slopes to challenge cyclists, getting around by bicycle is also difficult in this area since.

Housing

In Arbour Lake, many buildings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place in the 1990s. This part of Calgary offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Services

Primary schools are easy to reach on foot from most houses for sale in Arbour Lake. However, there are only a few high schools and thus they can be a rather long walk away. As far as eating is concerned, some, but not all, home buyers in Arbour Lake will live within walking distance of one of about 10 supermarkets. A small number of restaurants and cafes are available as well.
