Austin East is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. Public green spaces, such as Valleyview Reserve, are very well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, making it easy to access them. This part of the city is also reasonably quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.


Driving is very often the best method to navigate Austin East. Parking is easy. However, public transit users may have limited choices in Austin East by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily close by. It is impractical for people walking to navigate Austin East as almost no daily needs can be met on foot.

Regarding education, there are only a limited number of primary schools in Austin East and thus they can be a rather long walk away. Likewise, this area does not contain any high schools. Moreover, families may consider it difficult for their kids to get to daycares as a pedestrian.
