Belmead is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. This part of Edmonton is very quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, it is easy to access green spaces from a lot of locations in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore.

Transportation

Belmead will attract homeowners that use several methods of transportation. Owing to around 20 nearby bus lines, commuting by public transit is easy in Belmead. Belmead is also reasonably appropriate for cycling as bike riders do not encounter significant slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is quite comprehensive. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not particularly suitable for walking since running day-to-day errands is sometimes challenging on foot. However, Belmead is very car friendly. Parking is easy, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway.

Housing

Around two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. In this area, roughly 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood occurred between 1960 and 1980. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.

Services

Families will appreciate the proximity to daycares and primary schools, which are within walking distance from the majority of houses for sale in Belmead. However, there are no high schools in this part of the city. With regards to food, in all but a limited number of cases, a car is required to shop for groceries. Nonetheless, reaching the nearest pharmacy and thus some staple foods is generally convenient. Those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of options. A good choice of clothing stores is also situated within a reasonably short walking distance.
