People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Blue Quill. The noise levels in this neighbourhood are very low, as the streets are usually very calm. Lastly, green spaces, including Blue Quill Park, are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to relax in, which makes it very easy to reach them.


This part of Edmonton will draw homeowners that value various modes of transportation. Thanks to around 20 nearby bus lines, Blue Quill is reasonably transit friendly. Biking is also convenient in this part of the city since the cycling infrastructure is especially comprehensive, and the terrain is quite flat. A majority of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not particularly conducive to walking because many daily needs are at times difficult to carry out on foot. In contrast, driving is a very good medium of transportation in Blue Quill. Nearby highways are easy to drive to from any location in this area, and it is easy to access a place to park.


Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing many dwellings in Blue Quill, but single detached homes and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This part of the city also has a good selection of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters while owners occupy the remainder. A majority of the housing growth in this area took place in the 1960s and 1970s.


Families will find that no matter where their property is situated in Blue Quill, schools and daycares are close by. Regarding eating, in all but a limited number of cases, a car is required to purchase groceries. Nonetheless, getting to the nearest pharmacy and therefore some basic food items is usually convenient. There are also a few restaurants in Blue Quill. In addition, a decent choice of clothing stores is available within a reasonably short walking distance.
