Blueridge is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. This part of the municipality is especially quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, there are around 10 green spaces close by for residents to check out, making them very easy to reach.
The car is usually the best method of transportation in Blueridge. Finding a place to park is generally easy. However, Blueridge is not an especially pleasant part of North Vancouver for getting around by public transit. Thankfully, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close. This neighbourhood is not very bicycling-friendly because bike riders encounter a considerable amount of slopes, and the cycling network is fairly poor. Most houses for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since almost no common errands can be run on foot.
The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Blueridge is an important part of its character. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood happened between 1960 and 1980. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 10% are renters.
In all cases, a car is required to do groceries. Concerning education, parents and their schoolchildren will value the proximity to daycares and primary schools, which are within walking distance from most houses for sale in Blueridge. However, this part of the municipality does not have any high schools.
