Most areas in this municipality are especially quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.
Bowen Island is a very convenient part of the Vancouver metropolitan area for driving. Parking is generally easy. However, public transit users may have very few options in Bowen Island by reason of the low service level. Nonetheless, the municipality is connected by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically within walking distance. Commuting by bicycle is very difficult in Bowen Island since there is a considerable amount of hills, and the bicycling network is not very comprehensive. It is also very challenging for pedestrians to move around in this municipality as almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.
