Brentwood is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. Most areas in this part of Calgary are very quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, parks are very easy to reach since there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is a very convenient part of Calgary for driving. It is straightforward to find a parking spot. Owing to Brentwood Station with access to the Red Line, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit system in this area is also fairly good. Many of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not particularly convenient for those who travel by foot because meeting daily needs is at times challenging. Moving around by bicycle is also difficult in Brentwood since. Nevertheless, riding a bicycle is facilitated by the generally flat terrain.

Housing

Most housing in Brentwood was constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, during its biggest building boom. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing most dwellings in this part of Calgary, while large apartment buildings and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. Homeowners occupy about 60% of the properties in Brentwood and the rest are rented. This neighbourhood also has a good variety of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find homes ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to access both primary and secondary schools from most homes for sale in Brentwood. However, families may find it challenging to get to daycares as a pedestrian. Regarding food, the closest supermarket in Brentwood is generally only a short walk away. Residents are served by about 40 restaurants and cafes as well. Furthermore, it is a reasonably short walk to a good variety of clothing stores.
