Bullock is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. This area is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around the railway line or Highway 407. Finally, accessing green spaces is very easy from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood, since there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in and most properties have a park relatively close by.

Transportation

Getting around by car is especially convenient in this neighbourhood. The majority of properties for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is very easy to park. On the other hand, Bullock is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by around 10 bus lines, and it is straightforward to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. It is difficult to commute by bike in this part of Markham as there are quite a few slopes, and this neighbourhood has a rather limited bicycling infrastructure. Walking is also not very common in Bullock, even though carrying out day-to-day needs is easy.

Housing

In Bullock, about 55% of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This area experienced its biggest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this era. This neighbourhood has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder.

Services

Parents and their schoolchildren will welcome that wherever their house is situated in Bullock, schools and daycares are nearby. Parents are served by public and private elementary schools. With respect to food, it is generally an option for property owners in Bullock to do their groceries on foot. Furthermore, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of choices, and residents are served by a few cafes as well. It is also a reasonably short walk to a good selection of clothing stores.
