Transportation

Cameron Heights is especially car friendly. Parking is easy, and it is a short drive to the closest highway from any home in this neighbourhood. In contrast, public transit riders may find limited options in Cameron Heights by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. The bike is a good means of transportation in Cameron Heights since the bicycling network is fairly good. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not very conducive to those who travel by foot because running common errands is very inconvenient by walking.

Housing

The substantial proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Cameron Heights is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available homes are from this time period. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this part of Edmonton. Roughly all of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while renters occupy the remainder.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this area. In addition, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long walk away. With respect to eating, house buyers in Cameron Heights almost always have to turn to a vehicle to shop for their groceries.
