One of the highlights of Cedardale is its great variety of green spaces. It is very easy to access public green spaces since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to visit. Lastly, due to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this part of the municipality is relatively quiet; however those who are near Trans-Canada Highway may experience higher levels of noise.


The favoured way to move around in Cedardale is usually driving. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to drive to from any home in Cedardale, and it is especially convenient to find a parking spot. In contrast, getting around by public transit is sometimes challenging in this neighbourhood. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. Despite the fact that riding a bike is more feasible in some pockets than others, this area is not very conducive to bicycling because there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Walking is also not particularly practical for home buyers in Cedardale because running common errands is occasionally difficult.


Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing roughly 30% of buildings in Cedardale, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This part of the municipality also has a good choice of housing sizes; homes range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Homeowners occupy around 70% of the properties in the neighbourhood and 30% are rented. This part of West Vancouver did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new dwellings in Cedardale was spread throughout several decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century.


Primary schools are very easy to walk to from most properties for sale in Cedardale. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this part of the municipality. Residents are served by public and private primary schools. When it comes to eating, the closest supermarket in this area is generally only a reasonably short walk away. Furthermore, Cedardale is a good place in which to eat out.
