Central Lonsdale offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. There are approximately 10 public green spaces close by for residents to relax in and they are especially well-distributed, which makes them very easy to access. This area is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around Trans-Canada Highway.


Active people will value the reasonably walk-friendly nature of Central Lonsdale; running daily errands is easy. In contrast, Central Lonsdale is not especially appropriate for cycling as there are quite a few elevation changes. Nevertheless, the bicycling infrastructure is well-developed, and certain bicycling-friendly sectors can be found. Public transit users may have limited choices in Central Lonsdale by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, getting around by car is easy in this part of City of North Vancouver. It is easy to find a place to park, and many houses for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway.


In Central Lonsdale, roughly half of dwellings are small apartment buildings, but large apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. The proportions of homeowners and renters are about even. About one third of properties in this part of City of North Vancouver were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.


Both general and specialty grocery stores are usually accessible within a short walk from most houses for sale in this area. Moreover, there is typically a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. House buyers have access to a fair number of nearby clothing stores. Concerning education, families will welcome that no matter where their home is situated in Central Lonsdale, daycares and schools are close by.
