Cliffcrest real estate guide & listings for sale

People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Cliffcrest. There is a fair amount of greenery in this part of the city as a large number of streets have reasonably good tree coverage. Green spaces, such as Bluffer's Park and McCowan District Park, are very well-spread out and there are around 20 of them close by for residents to discover, which makes it very easy to get to them from most locations in Cliffcrest. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some parts can be quite loud, especially around the railway line.

Transportation

Driving is often the favoured way to move around in this part of Toronto. Finding a place to park is easy. The public transit network in Cliffcrest is reasonably accessible. More specifically, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Walking in this part of the city is not very common, although meeting daily needs is convenient. Although there are a good number of bike lanes, this neighbourhood is also not especially bicycling-friendly because there are quite a few slopes.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about two thirds of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and one third are rented. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing most buildings in this area, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings. Roughly half of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed prior to the 1960s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s. This neighbourhood has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Services

Accessing the nearest supermarket by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in Cliffcrest. Conversely, a restaurant is often just around the corner, for example on Kingston Road, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well. It is also easy to reach a number of clothing stores on foot. Regarding education, in this area, families will typically be able to access daycares and schools on foot.
