Current River is reasonably good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are quite peaceful - however noise can be problematic around one of the railway lines.
The favoured transportation option in Current River is very often driving. Nearby highways are quite easy to access from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to park. However, Current River is not an especially pleasant part of Thunder Bay for travelling by public transit. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually relatively close by. Walking is not very feasible for property owners in this part of the city since almost no common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle.
In Current River, the majority of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock.
