Transportation

This neighbourhood is an extraordinarily good part of Kamloops for travelling by car. It is a short drive to the closest highway from any home in this neighbourhood, and parking is generally easy. In contrast, public transit users may find few options in Dallas by reason of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most homes are close to a bus stop. Dallas is not very conducive to those who travel by foot since meeting daily needs is very challenging.

Housing

Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood while the remainder are rented. The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest building boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this era. This neighbourhood also has a variety of unit sizes; there is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this neighbourhood.

Services

There are only a few primary schools in this area and therefore they can be a long walk away. Moreover, Dallas does not have any high schools. Furthermore, parents and their children may consider it very difficult to reach daycares on foot. With respect to food, some, but not all, home buyers in this area will reside within walking distance of the closest supermarket. There are also a few restaurants in Dallas.
