Discovery Ridge does not have any high schools or primary schools. In addition, families may find it very difficult for their kids to access daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to eating, a car is almost always required in this part of the city to reach the nearest grocery store. Nevertheless, it is generally a reasonably short distance to the nearest pharmacy, which can provide some staple foods. A small selection of restaurants is available in this neighbourhood as well.
