Downtown real estate guide & listings for sale

Downtown is a great neighbourhood for home buyers who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Finding things to do is very easy in this part of the city. There are often many people around, there is a broad selection of entertainment venues, and places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the area. There are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to check out and they are very well-distributed, making it very easy to access them from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood.

Downtown does not require driving since several other means of transportation are accessible. Travelling by public transit is straightforward in this area as a consequence of over 50 nearby bus lines. On the other hand, driving is a sometimes poor medium of transportation in this part of the city. Nevertheless, parking is quite easy. Travelling on foot is especially feasible for property owners in this part of the city; meeting day-to-day needs is very convenient by walking, and plenty of businesses are very close by.

Around 70% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters and owners occupy the remainder. Many buildings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in this area, and the remaining dwellings are mainly small apartment buildings. About 45% of properties in this neighbourhood were built following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. However this part of Victoria is especially good for those looking for one bedroom homes.

It is very convenient to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from any location in Downtown. Additionally, thanks to 300-odd restaurants and cafes in this part of the city, there is almost always a place to get a meal or a beverage just around the corner. It is also especially convenient to get to a variety of clothing stores on foot. As far as education is concerned, it is a rather short walk to access schools and daycares from most properties for sale in Downtown.
