There is a vast selection of green spaces in East Richmond. There are approximately 20 green spaces nearby for residents to check out, which makes them easy to access. Finally, it remains relatively quiet in this part of the city, since there are very few pedestrians.
Driving is usually the favoured way to navigate this part of the city. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 91, and it is very easy to access a parking spot. On the other hand, this part of Richmond is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, property owners are served by about 10 bus lines, and it is easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. The bike is a fairly poor mode of transportation in this area since cyclists encounter quite a few slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive. This area is also not very well-suited for walking because very few daily needs can be met without needing to resort to a vehicle.
In East Richmond, most dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings, duplexes, and townhouses. This neighbourhood also has a good choice of unit sizes - properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 30% are renters. About one third of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
It can be difficult to walk to high schools and primary schools from properties for sale in East Richmond. Furthermore, families may find it very hard for their children to access daycares on foot. With respect to food, some, but not all, house buyers in East Richmond will reside within walking distance of the closest supermarket. A limited number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well.
