Eastview is fairly good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case closer to the railway line. Parks aren't well-located, which makes them sometimes difficult to reach. Still, residents will be able to access public green spaces in nearby neighbourhoods.


Driving is very often the best method to move around in Eastview. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. On the other hand, getting around by transit can be difficult in Eastview by reason of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most houses are near a bus stop. Most homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not very well-suited for those who travel by foot as meeting daily needs is inconvenient. This neighbourhood is also not very bike-friendly since cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive.

Homeowners occupy roughly two thirds of the properties in Eastview while the rest are rented. The buildings in this part of the city are very new, since around 60% of its dwellings were built after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.


Eastview does not have any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, there are only a few daycares and thus they can be an extended walk away. In terms of eating, it is often practical for property owners in Eastview to buy their groceries on foot. Residents can enjoy around 10 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
