This area is especially quiet overall, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Finally, accessing public green spaces from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood, such as Gariepy Park, is easy since there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in.


Travelling by car is straightforward in Gariepy. Coming across a parking spot is generally easy, and many real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway. However, commuting by public transit is occasionally difficult in Gariepy. Thankfully, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. Biking is easy in Gariepy as the cycling infrastructure is good. This part of Edmonton is not especially suitable for those who travel by foot because very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Most housing in this area was built between 1960 and 1980, during its biggest construction boom. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.


Families will appreciate that no matter where their property is situated in Gariepy, daycares and schools are close by. As far as food is concerned, it is usually an option for house buyers in this part of the city to buy their groceries by walking. There are also a limited number of choices for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity. Likewise, it is a reasonably short distance to a decent variety of clothing stores.
