Transportation

Gordon Head is a very convenient part of Saanich for getting around by car. It is very easy to park. On the other hand, the public transit network in Gordon Head is sometimes poor. Thankfully, there are about 30 bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Gordon Head is not very conducive to walking since running common errands is difficult.

Housing

A majority of the housing growth in Gordon Head happened in the 1960s and 1970s. About three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

Services

Both primary and secondary schools are convenient to get to on foot from anywhere in Gordon Head. Along with public schools, there are private primary and high schools. However, it can be challenging to get to daycares as a pedestrian. When it comes to eating, a fraction of house buyers in Gordon Head may be able to travel to the nearest supermarket on foot, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. A small variety of restaurants and coffee shops is available as well.
