Driving is an excellent means of transportation in this neighbourhood. Parking is generally easy, and many homes for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway. However, Grandview is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. It is sometimes difficult for pedestrians to navigate this part of the city as running daily errands is impractical.


In Grandview, many dwellings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings are the main alternative in the housing stock. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 70% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available housing is from this time period.


It is usually feasible for property owners in this part of the city to purchase groceries by walking. A limited number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. With respect to education, in Grandview, parents and their children will commonly be able to reach schools and daycares by walking.
