Harbour Landing offers a fairly good selection of green spaces to enjoy. There are about 10 parks close by for residents to explore and they are very well-spread out, which makes them easy to access. Lastly, this part of the city remains relatively calm, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.
Driving is an excellent transportation option in Harbour Landing. Parking is generally easy, and many houses for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway. In contrast, Harbour Landing is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most residences are near a bus stop. It is impractical for people walking to get around in this area as running daily errands is difficult on foot.
In Harbour Landing, about half of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 70% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 30% are occupied by renters. This area experienced its most significant building boom following the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period.
In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to buy groceries. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally easy to reach on foot and supply some staple foods. Residents benefit from approximately 20 restaurants and coffee shops as well. In terms of education, Harbour Landing does not have any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, families may find it very hard for their children to access daycares on foot.
