Heritage Lakes is wonderful for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.


Cars are a great transportation option in this area. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is straightforward to park. In contrast, this neighbourhood is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very suitable for those who travel by foot since very few daily errands can be run without needing to use a car.


Most housing in Heritage Lakes was constructed in the 1990s, during its most significant building boom. In this part of the city, the vast majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly townhouses. Roughly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are occupied by renters. This part of the city is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.


In this area, parents and their children will generally be able to access primary schools on foot. However, there are no high schools in Heritage Lakes. With respect to food, a car is typically required in this part of St. Albert to reach the closest supermarket.
