Cars are a very good means of transportation in Hillside. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from any location in this part of the city, and it is convenient to access a place to park. Hillside is not particularly suitable for walking because few common errands can be run on foot.


The split between renters and homeowners is about even. In this neighbourhood, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. Most housing in this neighbourhood was built in the 1960s and 1970s, during its biggest construction boom. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.


Both primary and secondary schools are straightforward to walk to from any location in Hillside. However, it can be challenging to reach daycares on foot. In terms of eating, property owners in Hillside will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a very short walk away.
