On the other hand, cycling is occasionally difficult in this part of Hamilton because cyclists are faced with a significant amount of elevation changes, and there are few bike lanes. Public transit riders may have limited choices in Kentley by reason of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. In contrast, the preferred means of transportation in Kentley is usually driving. Nearby highways, such as Red Hill Valley Parkway, are very easy to access from any location in this part of Hamilton, and it is straightforward to park.


Over half of the housing stock of Kentley is made up of large apartment buildings and single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly townhouses. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place in the 1960s and 1970s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of one bedroom and three bedroom homes. Renters occupy roughly two thirds of the properties in the neighbourhood and the remainder are occupied by owners.


Families will appreciate that no matter where their house is located in Kentley, primary schools are nearby. However, Kentley does not have any high schools. When it comes to food, it is especially easy to get to the nearest grocery store by walking from most houses for sale in this area. Moreover, a restaurant is usually just around the corner, and house buyers benefit from a few cafes as well. It is also a rather short walk to a decent selection of clothing stores.
