The greenery in this area is very prominent; it is very easy to access green spaces from a large number of locations within the neighbourhood, since there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to visit and reaching a park from the majority of properties for sale is easy. Moreover, residents will find that many tree-lined streets are present. This part of Toronto is also reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally calm - although that is not the case closer to Highway 401.

Transportation

Lansing-Westgate will draw house buyers that appreciate various modes of transportation. Lansing-Westgate is home to a very good public transit infrastructure. In particular, house owners can count on Sheppard - Yonge Station with access to the Sheppard Line and Yonge - University Line. The neighbourhood is connected by around 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Travelling on foot is also reasonably practical for property owners in this part of Toronto; many daily errands can be run without the use of a car. Despite the fact that a few enjoyable pockets for cycling exist, Lansing-Westgate is not very conducive to biking as cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed.

Many dwellings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in this area, while small apartment buildings and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. Roughly one third of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This area has a good variety of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Families will appreciate the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from most homes for sale in Lansing-Westgate. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. When it comes to food, the nearest supermarket in this area is typically only a rather short walk away. Likewise, a restaurant is usually just around the corner, and property owners can enjoy a few cafes as well. House buyers have access to a good number of nearby clothing stores.
