Most areas in Lively are reasonably quiet, as the streets tend to be tranquil - however noise can be an issue near the railway line. It is sometimes difficult to get to public green spaces in the community since they are sparse. Still, there are around 10 parks nearby for residents to relax in.
The favoured transportation option in this part of the city is very often driving. It is very easy to find a parking spot. However, Lively is not a very pleasant part of Greater Sudbury for getting around by public transit. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines. This part of the city is not very suitable for walking as almost no common errands can be run on foot.
