Lower West Lynn real estate guide & listings for sale

People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Lower West Lynn. This part of North Vancouver is reasonably quiet, as the streets tend to be tranquil - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially near Trans-Canada Highway. Lastly, it is very easy to get to green spaces, since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to unwind in and most houses for sale have a park nearby.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent means of transportation in Lower West Lynn. Many properties for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very easy to find a parking spot. In contrast, getting around by public transit is at times difficult in this neighbourhood. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and it is straightforward to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. Lower West Lynn is not very conducive to walking as many daily needs are impractical to meet without having to use a vehicle. Getting around by bicycle is also very difficult in this part of North Vancouver since there is a considerable amount of hills, and there are very few bike lanes.

Housing

Around half of homes in Lower West Lynn were built before the 1960s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s. The substantial percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the units in Lower West Lynn and the remainder are rented. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are easy to walk to from anywhere in this part of North Vancouver. However, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood. Regarding food, in most cases, a car is required to do groceries.
