This area is quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however some parts can be quite loud, especially near Highway 400 or one of the railway lines. It is sometimes challenging for people travelling on foot to navigate Maple because carrying out day-to-day needs is occasionally difficult by walking.

The homes in this neighbourhood are very new, since roughly 40% of its buildings were constructed in the 1990s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s. The housing stock of this neighbourhood is composed primarily of single detached homes and townhouses. Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the dwellings in Maple while the rest are rented. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are easy to access on foot from anywhere in Maple. In contrast, there are only a limited number of high schools and consequently they can be an extended walk away. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. With respect to eating, some, but not all, home buyers in Maple will reside within walking distance of one of around 20 supermarkets. Residents are served by over 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
