Maple is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Public green spaces, like Mackenzie Glen District Park and Vaughan Sports Village, are very well-situated and there are about 30 of them nearby for residents to discover, making them easy to get to. This neighbourhood is also quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case near Highway 400 or one of the railway lines.

Transportation

The favoured method to get around in Maple is very often driving. Parking is generally easy, and nearby highways, such as Highway 400, are easy to access from any home in this area. In contrast, the public transit system in Maple is not very accessible. Nonetheless, there are about 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. This part of Vaughan is not particularly well-suited for those who travel by foot since few daily errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle. On the other hand, Maple is cycling-friendly because the bicycling network is good.

Housing

Roughly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. The predominant housing types in this part of the city are single detached homes and row houses. About 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1990s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 2000s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

Services

Some, but not all, house buyers in Maple will live within walking distance of one of around 20 supermarkets. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who care about nearby restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, families will find that no matter where their home is located in Maple, primary schools and daycares are close by. However, high schools are not very numerous and therefore tend to require an extended walk to get to. Families can choose between public and private schools at both the primary and secondary school level.
