Driving is usually the best approach to get around in Mount Forest. Parking is easy. In contrast, public transit riders may find very few options in this part of the city by reason of the low service level. Mount Forest is not very well-suited for those who travel by foot because running daily errands is very inconvenient by walking.
In Mount Forest, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while mobile homes are also present in the housing stock. Around one third of homes in this neighbourhood were built between 1980 and 1990, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1990s.
