Transportation

Cars are a great means of transportation in this area. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 406, and it is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in this part of St. Catharines is fairly poor. Nevertheless, there is the St. Catharines Station on the Lakeshore West Line. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Many of the homes for sale in this part of St. Catharines are located in areas that are not very conducive to walking because very few common errands can be run on foot.

Housing

As far as education is concerned, in this area, parents and their schoolchildren will generally be able to get to primary schools by walking. However, there are no high schools in New Western Hill.
