Transportation

The favoured approach to navigate this part of the municipality is usually driving. Many homes for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, and it is straightforward to park. However, getting around by public transit is difficult in North Quadra. Nevertheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close. This part of Saanich is not particularly suitable for those who travel by foot because running common errands is difficult.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about one third of dwellings in North Quadra, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings, duplexes, and townhouses. This part of the municipality has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. Roughly one third of homes in this part of Saanich were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.

Services

The nearest supermarket in North Quadra is typically only a reasonably short walk away. There are also a limited number of choices for those who appreciate nearby restaurants and cafes. Regarding education, in this neighbourhood, parents and their kids will generally be able to access both primary and secondary schools by walking. However, daycares are not particularly abundant and accordingly not always within walking distance.
