The bicycle is a fairly poor mode of transportation in Northeast Coquitlam as there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and there are a limited number of bike lanes. There are also a few options for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity. As far as education is concerned, there are only a limited number of primary schools in Northeast Coquitlam and consequently they can be an extended walk away. Likewise, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools. In addition, daycares are not particularly plentiful and thus not always within walking distance.
