Northridge is fairly good for those who like quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
This area is an extraordinarily good part of Grande Prairie for moving around by car. Nearby highways are very easy to drive to from any home in this neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to park. It is sometimes difficult for people travelling on foot to get around in Northridge because very few daily needs can be carried out by walking.
The split between homeowners and renters is about even. In this area, around 45% of buildings are small apartment buildings, while single detached homes and townhouses are the main alternatives in the housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this part of Grande Prairie has occurred after the year 2000. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes.
Property owners in this area will welcome that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away. A limited variety of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. Additionally, it is easy to get to a number of clothing stores on foot. Regarding education, both primary and secondary schools are convenient to reach on foot from any location in Northridge. In contrast, there are only a few daycares and consequently they can be a rather long walk away.
