Oleskiw real estate guide & listings for sale

Oleskiw is a great neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This part of the city is excellent for those who need quiet areas, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to explore, like Oleskiw Park and Wolf Willow Ravine, which makes it very easy to get to them.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Oleskiw. Accessing a place to park is quite easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway. However, Oleskiw is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close. Oleskiw is amenable to biking because the cycling network is good, and bicycle riders do not face significant elevation changes. Walking is not very practical for residents in this area because very few common errands can be run on foot.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the vast majority of dwellings in Oleskiw, and the remainder are mainly townhouses. Around half of properties in this part of Edmonton were built between 1980 and 1990, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1990s. This part of Edmonton also has quite a good selection of unit sizes; there is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this area. Roughly 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are rented.

Services

Property owners in Oleskiw will appreciate that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. A small variety of restaurants and coffee shops is available as well. Regarding education, Oleskiw does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, there are only a few daycares and consequently they can be a long walk away.
