Oliver real estate guide & listings for sale

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Oliver is a good option. Most areas in Oliver are quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. It is very easy to access public green spaces from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit. Lastly, finding vibrant areas in this part of the city is easy. Even though there are relatively few nearby entertainment venues, there are very often a very large number of people around, and with its about 10 bars, there are options for nighttime activities.


Oliver is a very good neighbourhood for environmentally friendly transportation options. Owing to Grandin Station with access to the Capital Line and Metro Line, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, commuting by public transit is convenient in Oliver. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are also very suitable for walking; many daily errands can be run on foot, and plenty of businesses are reasonably close by. Cycling is straightforward in this part of Edmonton as there are countless bike lanes.


In Oliver, the majority of dwellings are large apartment buildings, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. About half of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s. This part of the city is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. Renters occupy roughly 70% of the units in the neighbourhood and 30% are occupied by owners.


It is very often possible for home buyers in Oliver to buy their groceries by walking. Furthermore, those who appreciate eating out won't have to go far in this part of the city, where over 50 restaurants and a few cafes can be found. It is also a rather short walk to a good variety of clothing stores. As far as education is concerned, parents and their schoolchildren will appreciate that wherever their home is located in this neighbourhood, daycares and schools are close by.
