Pemberton Heights is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. It is very easy to access parks since there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy. This part of District of North Vancouver is also quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near Trans-Canada Highway.

Transportation

Commuting by car is very easy in Pemberton Heights. The majority of real estate listings are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very easy to find a parking spot. On the other hand, the public transit service in Pemberton Heights is not very frequent. Nonetheless, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Travelling by foot is not very popular in Pemberton Heights, despite the fact that many common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. This part of District of North Vancouver is also not very conducive to cycling as there is a significant amount of slopes, and the bicycling network is quite poor.

Housing

Around one third of properties in Pemberton Heights were built prior to the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing many dwellings in this area, while small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. This area has a good choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Services

It is generally practical for property owners in Pemberton Heights to do grocery shopping by walking. Likewise, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of opportunities. It is also a rather short walk to a reasonable selection of clothing stores. With respect to education, parents and their schoolchildren will appreciate that wherever their house is situated in Pemberton Heights, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, this part of District of North Vancouver does not contain any high schools.
