Parks are very well-distributed and there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in, making them very easy to access. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are peaceful - however noise can be an issue near Trans-Canada Highway.

Transportation

Driving is a very good transportation option in this neighbourhood. Finding a parking spot is generally easy, and many real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, commuting by public transit is at times challenging in Pemberton Heights. Thankfully, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. It is very difficult to travel by bike in Pemberton Heights since the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and cyclists encounter quite a few hills. Travelling by foot in this neighbourhood is also not very popular, even though many daily errands can be run on foot.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 60% of buildings in Pemberton Heights, while small apartment buildings and duplexes are the main alternatives in the housing stock. This part of North Vancouver offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly three quarters of the properties in Pemberton Heights while the rest are rented. The homes in this part of the municipality are quite old, since about one third of its dwellings were constructed pre-1960, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s.

The nearest grocery store in Pemberton Heights is generally only a reasonably short walk away. Moreover, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a fair number of opportunities. It is also a reasonably short walk to a decent choice of clothing stores. As far as education is concerned, primary schools and daycares are easy to access on foot from anywhere in Pemberton Heights. On the other hand, Pemberton Heights does not have any high schools.
